DHEA
DHEA levels decrease as we get older, generally falling significantly
by the time we are 30. Increased DHEA levels have been shown to improve
one’s sense of well being, reduce body fat and improve skin tone and
moisture, increase sex drive, improve immunity, enhance memory, and
increase bone density. DHEA supplementation also results in increases
in IGF-1, which is an important youth hormone related to human growth
hormone. DHEA has been credited with reducing symptoms of Lupus and
depression. Alzheimer’s victims typically have low DHEA levels, suggesting
it may be possible to combat this disease through DHEA supplementation.
"...supplemental DHEA
has been shown to have anti-aging, anti-obesity
and anti-cancer influences".
